Positek Linear transducer Positek Linear Postion Sensor, Positek Rotary Position Sensors, Positek Tilt Angle Sensor
Positek offers an extensive range of linear position sensors; an ideal non-contact alternative to a linear potentiometer, suitable for the detection of linear movement in a host of industrial applications. Positek linear position sensors provide all of the benefits of an lvdt, but with added reliability and improved stroke to length ratio. Unlike many lvdt sensors, Positek linear position sensors lend themselves well to confined spaces, and operate using a single coil which leaves them less vulnerable to common fractures and breakages. Using Positek’s patented inductive sensor technology, Positek position sensors are extremely robust and highly accurate in their detection of linear movement, with stroke length measurements of up to 800mm.
POSITEK LINEAR POSITION SENSORS SUPPLIER
Positek rotary position sensors boast the kind of accuracy and cycle-life that cannot be matched by an angular position rvdt sensor. Using Positek patented, inductive sensor technology, they also operate without wear or interference in all applications, offering unrivalled reliability, and exceptionally accurate angle measurement, even in the harshest of environments. Offering angular position measurement capabilities from between 5° and 160°, Positek rotary sensors have been used in rotation angle applications such as industrial valves and waterjet propulsion systems. With over 25 years’ experience as a rotary position sensor manufacturer, and using Positek onsite production facility, Positek has the flexibility to manufacture or customise any rotary position transducer to your exact requirements. Unlike many rdvt manufacturers, we can also have your rotary position sensor dispatched in as little as 1-2 working days.
POSITEK ROTARY POSITION SENSORS SUPPLIER
Not only do Positek tilt sensors offer an extended cycle-life in comparison to rvdts and other alternatives, they are also manufactured from corrosion resistant metal, which makes them ideal for marine and outdoor applications. As part of Positek extensive range, we also supply a selection of intrinsically safe tilt sensor solutions, suitable for inclination angle measurement in harsh or hazardous conditions. As with all Positek products, every inclinometer sensor that we manufacture harnesses Positek patented, contactless technology, and offers outstanding reliability and performance in all tilt angle measurement applications. Positek has the flexibility, coupled with 25+ years’ experience as a tilt position sensor manufacturer, to custom design any tilt sensor or inclinometer within Positek range. If Positek standard sizes are not suited to your application, please contact us to discuss your unique requirements. Using our onsite production facility, we can then design and assemble your custom inclination sensor, and have it dispatched to you in as little as 1-2 working days. .

Positek's novel inductive sensor technology can now be used to produce linear or rotary Intrinsically Safe sensors for use in hazardous areas with potential risk of explosive gases. vapours and dust. In an unusual situation, Sira Certification Service has been able to provide Positek with the Intrinsically Safe qualification for an electronic system in any sensor produced using the patented PIPS® technology. Bob Cooper, Sira's General Manager, commented, "Sira engineers adopted a flexible approach to achieve certification for the many varied mechanical variants of Intrinsically Safe sensors without imposing burdensome technical restrictions. The standard PIPS® technology electronic system only needed slight modification to meet the qualification requirements. In addition, Positek received a most unusual occurrence of a zero non-compliance count on the ATEX quality system audit carried out by Sira." This means that Positek can produce a wide range of ATEX/IECEx and CSA approved Intrinsically Safe position sensors for use in hazardous gas, vapur, dust and mining environments. The product range includes sensors for linear, rotary and tilt motion, covering linear displacements up to 800mm and rotational movements up to 160°. Because the qualification for Intrinsically Safe sensors is only restricted to the electronic circuit design, the mechanical design of the sensor is flexible.
